IT Support Technician

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support, assist with hardware deployments, and contribute to maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure. This role offers a mix of end-user support and back-end IT responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years in a help desk or entry-level IT support role, ideally involving exposure to networked environments.
• Working knowledge of networking basics such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and an understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and commonly used business software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and installations.
• Experience supporting end-user provisioning, including account creation, permission setup, and decommissioning processes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Proven attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive both independently and in collaborative settings.

Essential Duties:

• Handle day-to-day hardware tasks including setting up, maintaining, and replacing computers, network devices, and other peripherals.
• Deliver user-facing technical assistance, responding to issues related to hardware failures, software malfunctions, and basic connectivity concerns.
• Prepare workstations and IT assets for deployment, ensuring systems are properly configured and up to date.
• Support onboarding and offboarding workflows by configuring user accounts, assigning appropriate system access, and setting up required equipment.
• Assist in identifying and resolving basic network performance issues; escalate more complex incidents to senior IT personnel when necessary.
• Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, equipment configurations, and system changes.
• Participate in IT process improvement projects and contribute ideas to enhance team effectiveness.
• Support compliance with security standards, including user access control and network protocol adherence.
• Take on additional IT-related tasks or projects as needed.

Education:

• Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications or practical experience accepted.
