Legal Director - International funds 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal counsel and support on matters related to international investment funds, asset management, and cross-border structures.
  • Lead the structuring, formation, governance, and dissolution of international funds and cross-border entities.
  • Advise and assist in the fundraising process for international funds and investment vehicles.
  • Deliver legal guidance for fund financing initiatives and related transactions.
  • Develop and maintain global standards for fund formation and fundraising terms, including the preparation of concise reference materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with external legal counsel on all matters pertaining to international funds.
  • Support investor relations, fund management, and business teams in the structuring and ongoing maintenance of international investment funds.
  • Participate in strategic discussions and decision-making processes regarding the structuring of new products and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience in financial markets, either in-house or at a leading law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in international and/or regional legal matters, with a strong understanding of cross-border fund structures.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and dynamic business environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
